Evolve hasn't taken up the mantle of 'quiet contender,' as many other titles have lately. We're still months away from its February 10, 2015 release date and a large amount of content detailing the game has already been made available. Turtle Rock Studios, developers of Evolve, appear to have no reservations about the design or direction that they have chosen. Transparency seems to be fighting a losing battle in the games industry, so we're happy to see a developer who isn't afraid to show what they're working on.
Today, Turtle Rock Studios came out with a new trailer for Evolve. However, it appears that this preview is a bit more than meets the eye, as the game's Alpha testing start date was revealed. Starting on October 30, gamers will have the opportunity to play Evolve long before its February release date. Considering that the game has been so public and is becoming one of the more anticipated titles of this generation, we're betting that the response Turtle Rock Studios gets is immense. Evolve is also strikingly unique, offering a play style that pits four players against one enemy. The game reminds us a bit of Left 4 Dead, specifically the times when a Tank enemy would assault your team. Don't take that the wrong way, though – Evolve is no copycat, by any means.
You can preorder the game and be guaranteed entry into the Alpha test, or you can roll the dice with this multi-use code. It's only good for a few thousand players, so you'd better get to your nearest console.
