In the world of handheld gaming, Pokemon has no equal. For years – over a decade, in fact – the series has topped sales charts for Nintendo's handhelds. Furthermore, the series' popularity seems to pervade all age demographics, children and adults. This gives the games a very strong advantage over their competitors, as they never have to worry about Pokemon becoming irrelevant. It could be argued that any television programming has been overshadowed by the games for some time now.
The anticipation fans have for Pokemon: Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is growing steadily, as their November 21, 2014 release grows ever closer. As the release date is so close, the information highway is overrun with rumors about the games, but one stands out among the rest.
Youtuber MaxEzzy has recently published a video detailing a major rumor that should confirm or deny itself very soon. He implies that 'mega' editions of Pokemon Rayquaza and Latias will be available in game and that they will be announced through Nintendo's livestream on October 2. Already confirmed is the showing of some new routes and gameplay within the titles, so even if this rumor does not turn out to be true – though, we don't know why it wouldn't be – you should go and check it out.
The week of October 1 looks to be a big one for the Pokemon world, so keep your eyes peeled!
We have also provided MaxEzzy's video below for you to check out, so you can make your own prediction on what will be announced October 2.
