Destiny Patch 1.0.2 Notes Released, Going Live Next Week

September 27, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Bungie’s next patch raises the profile of Legendary Engram Items.

Bungie has outlined the changes coming with Destiny Patch 1.0.2. This patch will go live next week.

Legendary Engrams will now always give Legendary items or higher. This includes Materials and Exotics.

Rare Engrams will now always give Rare items or higher. There are also higher chances that it will give Legendary items.

Legendary and Rare Engrams will now appear in Daily Heroics, Weekly Heroics, and Vanguard: Tiger Playlist activities.

Ascendant materials are now Legendary. This will make them more likely to appear in association with the gear they upgrade.

Finally, and most importantly, Legendary Engram items in your inventory will be demoted to Rare items. If you have Legendary items, you should decode them now.

How do you like these changes? Is this helping Destiny become a better experience for you? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
