Rockstar has gone on record to state that they will be revealing more details about Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows, very soon.
To be specific, they were referring to transferring Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression. In fact, they confirmed to a fan that they would be able to transfer this data from PlayStation 3 to Xbox One. Rockstar already confirmed that players would be able to transfer their data from either PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, over to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Windows. This simply confirms that there is no limitation for players switching from Xbox to PlayStation or vice versa.
However, what this fan really wants to know is if Rockstar will support cross-save for the game. In other words, will players be able to switch between any platform of their choice to keep playing the same save? Other fans argue that this data is saved to each player’s ID, so it is possible. It would only be up to Rockstar if they wanted to do it.
Rockstar was only addressing the question about transferring game saves in this tweet, but that is not the only thing that fans are curious about and they can share details on. Fans have been going through the game’s code, and finding evidence of upcoming DLC. This alleged DLC includes comedy clubs, arena maps, zombies, casinos, dirt racing, custom car events, and outfit save slots. Rockstar has chosen to keep mum about all this speculation, but they can’t deny these items were in the code. We will learn the truth about these alleged DLC eventually. There’s a chance that this will also be revealed soon.
Grand Theft Auto V will be released in the second half of 2014, for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
