We have some new information for WWE 2K15, regarding that game’s cover.
So an alternative cover has come up that implies Daniel Bryan was meant to be the cover star, on a Gamestop listing. Of course, this cover would have had to be changed in the fallout of Bryan's injury, which sadly may have also ended his career.
The source implies Cena would have been a better choice given his name recall anyway, but he may not be cognizant of Cena's lowering box office returns in live events and PPVs, not really a surprise considering how long he's been in the spotlight. Bryan would have been groomed to be the next flagship star; he was already the most popular wrestler in the roster prior to being sidelined.
We do wish the best for Daniel Bryan and his family, but really, considering the number of retired Legends and Hall of Famers the game is going to get, there is no reason for Daniel to not be in the game. Maybe, some fans will argue, no reason for him to have even been replaced as cover star.
Of course, Daniel was already confirmed to be joining the roster, so fans who want to simulate what it would have been like if his push continued can book those Daniel Bryan vs Authority matches in the game.
We’re leaving you now with a fanmade trailer of Daniel Bryan’s possible entrance for the game, which was made last June, and we hope won’t be that much different from the real thing.
WWE 2K15 is coming October 28 to PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One.
