We have covered some of the details of this week’s Super Smash Bros 4 pics, so consider today a little recap.
On Sunday, Sakurai unveiled Takamaru of The Mysterious Murasame Castle debuting in Smash Bros. Unfortunately for the samurai apprentice, he comes in as an Assist Trophy, but his multidirectional pinwheels are sure to be a pain on the Smash arenas nonetheless.
On Tuesday, we got our look at the first Paper Mario stage, for the 3DS version. As is to be expected, strong winds will be a factor, blowing the stage apart, and then folding it into another stage. In this case, the requisite land stage with Windmills turns into Thousand Year Door’s SS Flavion.
On Wednesday, Boss Galaga revealed its Tractor Beam attack, which will bring you to the top of the screen. You can take the ship out, but it won’t convert into you and fight alongside you.
Yesterday, as we already covered, Sakurai revealed a Pokemon Black and White stage, which he promises will feature Reshiram, Zekrom, and Milotic. You can get the details here.
Finally, today we got a peek at a new 3DS minigame, Target Blast. The idea here is you are in the Home-run Contest stadium, and you face a bomb with a countdown timer on it. The idea is to hit it enough times to launch it, so that when the timer hits zero, the bomb explodes at a tower of walls and bomb blocks. You get two rounds to try, and your performance here gets added to your Global Smash Power.
Super Smash Bros. 4 is coming to the 3DS October 7 and to the Wii U this holiday season.
