Ubisoft has just confirmed upcoming DLC for their successful open world stealth action adventure game, Watch Dogs.
There is very little information on the table for now, but what we have is the official Watch Dogs Twitter account sharing an image with information about Camden, New Jersey, in that familiar Watch Dogs font and style. When asked by a fan to confirm if this was upcoming DLC, they confirmed that it would be coming this fall.
As you can see, the text opens up a scenario for Aiden to visit. Camden having seen an upsurge in crime, the city institutes a 24/7 surveillance program, making it good pickings for Aiden to operate in next.
Spoilers follow below.
I’m willing to go out a limb and speculate that Aiden is probably still onto his vigilante streak, possibly finding other leads and connections to the conspiracy that cost him his family. He might be after Blume Corporation, or he may be going after hacker groups, the mob, or the conspiracy that the mayor Chicago was apparently involved in. Knowing Ubisoft, it may or may not involve Nicole or Jordan again, or it may have Ubi damseling new characters.
One interesting aspect to this is Ubi still isn’t done with Watch Dogs for the Wii U, and that version is still slated for a late 2014 release. Will Wii U owners get this DLC incorporated in their version of the game? Ubi may consider such a bundle is more likely to entice them, especially considering the grudge Nintendo fans have been holding on them (deserved or not).
Either way, keep following Gameranx for the latest news on Watch Dogs.
