How well do you think Dead Rising 3 will be received on PC? Capcom seems set on ensuring it will be a success, as they have gone ahead and upgraded the game for everyone on the platform.
So, whatever edition you had for PC before, everyone now has Dead Rising 3 Apocalypse Edition. This means everyone gets the base game and Untold Stories of Perdidos. This amounts to 4 add-on packs, with each one featuring a new protagonist in a new area. The weapons and vehicles that you earn in Untold Stories can then be brought back to use in the main game.
We are sure some of you are already asking; what about Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha? That DLC, which takes the story out of the game and makes it fanservice and all arcadey, came out almost two months ago, and is by all accounts a fine addition to an already great game from Capcom Vancouver.
In fact, Capcom remains mum about the other DLC they already sold for the Xbox One version of the game, making one wonder if there’s any holdup on it from Microsoft, or if Capcom is holding on to that stuff in the hopes of reselling it for PC owners.
In fact, some Xbox One owners (some of whom may have bought it at launch) are already unhappy with this upgrade. Unfortunately for them, Capcom is doing this for business, and they are in need for a little more income with each game, so this may come to pass soon enough.
Dead Rising 3 Apocalypse Edition is coming to Windows on September 5.
