So, you have a Playstation 4, and you are one of many gamers who, as we reported on earlier, cannot get in to play the Destiny beta. Or, you’re an Xbox owner, and you have to wait even longer than that. We got something for you. We found for you the Destiny beta opening scenes for your viewing below.
Without giving too much away, the opening explains the premise of the game itself. This includes a lot of spoilers, but hey, if you were really going to play the beta, you were going to find this out anyway.
It also has a lot of narrative seamlessly integrated with starting gameplay itself. So, to be clear, this is not all cutscenes, you get a pseudo tutorial as part of the intro. In fact, you will get a taste of the action very early on, so do not expect a walk in the park at all.
One thing you will notice as well is how typically Bungie the whole game is. You will find yourself comparing it to Halo as you watch (and play, eventually) this game, possibly at every step of the way. Not that that’s completely a bad thing, but just a reminder, Destiny is its own thing.
So, admittedly, it’s not the same as actually playing the beta now, but close enough, right? At least it’s something to watch for until you actually get the game on your console up and running.
