The PS3 and PS4 beta for Destiny is out, and with it, players are experiencing no shortage of problems. Players trying to connect to the PlayStation Network to input their code and download the game are having difficulty doing so.
To that end, we’ve compiled this guide to help you register your beta key and successfully download the game without getting a 24-hour ban from the PlayStation Network.
Before you do any of this, make sure you've picked up your Destiny Beta code from the official Bungie website. Logging in and grabbing that code is simply a matter of perseverance.
1. If PSN is being slow when you put in your code, DO NOT keep inputting in the code over and over. Doing so will cause your account to be locked from using a code for 24 hours.
2. Wait about 20-30 minutes in between each time you put in a code, just to be on the safe side. You will have plenty of time to play the game and enjoy it.
3. Once you’ve successfully keyed in your code, you will be prompted to download the game. If PSN should boot you out with an error, do not re-enter your code to get to this screen. Simply head on over to “View Downloads” in the PlayStation Store and download the Destiny Beta from there.
