We have new information regarding Minecraft, as revealed by 4J Studios on Twitter.
First off, the bad news; yes, TU17 is delayed. This should not really come as no surprise, but TU17 will not be coming out to either Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 for a while, as 4J and Mojang are busy finishing up the ports for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Playstation Vita. The ports are priority, and then they will be releasing new features (AKA the next title update) after these are released. But hey, we do not really know how far gone those ports are, so who knows? All of this might just be a matter of weeks.
On the side, Mojang revealed what all Minecraft console fans can look forward to next: the Cartoon Texture Pack. Obviously inspired by Saturday morning cartoons like the Looney Tunes, Merrie Melodies, and the like. You can see textures include the deserts, forests, trees, brick houses, gates, and that classic brick wall painted to look like a tunnel gag.
Interestingly enough, the Cartoon Texture Pack inexplicable came up on Xbox Live Marketplace and is available now! The thing is the price is $ 4.99, but 4J says it should only be a dollar. As always, that release comes with a free trial, so you can go ahead and check it out now.
