Star Wars fans who have a penchant for Lego titles will be excited to know that Lucasarts has announced, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is currently in development and will be coming out this autumn(September-December).
The fourth game in the long running Star Wars Lego series will deliver the same top-notch action packed gimmicky gameplay with a new plot and build on the success of it’s predecessor, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, by adding new gameplay features and all the characters from both seasons of the hugely popular animated television series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as well as some fan-favorite characters from the beloved theatrical Star Wars Saga.
According to Lucasarts,
The LEGO Star Wars franchise is a massive hit with fans, bringing in sales of over 20 million units worldwide. We’re thrilled to extend this experience to LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, delivering the humor and fun players expect from this award winning franchise.
The game will feature brand new battle modes, giving players unique, head-to-head combat and an upgraded level builder, allowing the creation of customized bases and in-game battlefields.
Players will take on the role of either the Jedi or Separatist, with new abilities such as Squad command, Lightsaber slicing, Lightsaber jumps, long distance Jedi attacks and Grapple Tie-Ups, all within a new, easy-to-navigate hub.
Although this seems like a great announcement, we are more excited about Lego Universe, the first MMOG(Massively Multiplayer Online Game) from the world of Lego which will be exclusive to the PC.
