We've known for some time that Watch Dogs won't have the world's largest game map but it seems players will still have a pretty large game world to explore when the title releases on Tuesday.
Redditor dontyoudare411 has complied different parts of Watch Dogs' virtual representation of Chicago from trailers, he then compared the map to Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto 4, and then pointed to a size comparison between GTA4 and GTA5. Here are the maps in question:
As you can see, Watch Dogs has a bigger map than Grand Theft Auto 4 but a much smaller game world than Grand Theft Auto 5. Ubisoft has said they chose that scale in order to make Chicago feel as real and dense as possible.
A lot of the map in GTA5 was empty wilderness that never really felt as well realised as the game world of Red Dead Redemption so maybe it's just as well Watch Dogs operates on a more limited scale. The game comes to PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on May 27th with the Wii U release planned for later this year.
