There is evidence to suggest that the Metro games are set to be rereleased in anthology form on the PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
These pictures popped up on an Italian website, showing ads for Metro Redux, which seem to be composed of Metro Redux 2033 and Metro Last Light.
If the information here turns out to be true, the game is coming as soon as this July, and is made by the original developer 4A Games. There is also apparently some day one DLC, a soundtrack, art cards, and special packaging, so what we see here is the limited edition.
If true, it will also prove to be 4A Games 1st major project since being sold by bankrupt THQ to Koch Media in January 22, 2013. 4A Games was just getting started with their Metro series. The company had also developed their own 4A game engine, for the express purpose of using it on 8th generation consoles.
In absolute terms, however, it has not really been that long since these games were out. It would be great to get an update from 4A Games, all this does is join in on the pile of games enticing consumers into double dipping for what is being marketed as a ‘next-gen’ experience. If it’s true, we hope 4A has done the work to make it worth our while.
