We have new information on Watch Dogs, based on a fan translation of their Tokyo Game Show demo.
The demo shows off what a player will see when they look at the gamemap. There are menu options to add and remove midway points, show the dataflow, zoom in and out, and navigate across the map.
It shows L train, and a guide option. The guide explains that the L train gives you easy access to any area within the city, and allows you to take a good view of the area. You can use fast travel stations, on the platform, or on the train, to get to destinations quickly.
Among the places you can drop off is a café and bar, where you can get a drink, temporarily boosting your focus. You can also buy focus boosting items at other shops.
The simulation then shows off the CtOS (Central Operating System), which gives Aiden access to Chicago’s information grid. Going to CtOS towers to install the backdoors allows you more access to information in specific areas. As we already know, you can always hide the grid, hack into the CtOS to look at nearby mobile users, etc.
So, we’re sure Ubisoft will reshare this and provide more clarification in due time, but it’s some info Japanese got before us. Thanks to forum user / fan Naomi for the translation.
