Following rumors of a Titanfall beta coming up in Valentine’s day, warning has come up online that any claims of Titanfall beta signups are a complete scam.
True to form, an unconvincing, if glossy, site called titanfall-game.com comes up when you look up the terms “free Titanfall beta download”, aside from several YouTube videos. titanfall-game.com claims to have the beta keys as well as the launcher, which you can get into after completing a survey. The Youtube videos are even more diabolical, as they have what purport to be keygen download links in the ‘about’ section of their videos.
If you do go to EA’s Origin website, there is a page to preorder Titanfall, along with a small note that simply says “The beta is coming. Prepare for battle.”
Consider this fair warning. We assume Xbox One and Xbox 360 betas for Titanfall will be accessible from the consoles themselves. Regarding the PC version, they're highly to come up on Origin 1st. Wait on news from Microsoft, EA, and/or Respawn from their official channels. If you do find any links claiming to be beta signups, do not login or even go to those urls.
This does not invalidate the rumors of the February 14 beta, but it does mean fans need to be on their guard.
