MSFTnerd reports that Jen Taylor, who voices AI companion Cortana in the Halo series will also provide her services to Microsoft's voice command feature of the same name.
According to the site Cortana, which is being positioned as Microsoft's answer to Siri, will be trialled on Lumia phones in the U.S. beginning this April.
iPhone Bing users can expect to begin using the service from the Autumn while Xbox One and PC owners will need to wait until 2015. The feature will be rolled out internationally in 2015 and 2016.
Cortana will offer improved over the existing Windows Phone interface and users will be able to use more natural commands when communicating with the system.
Taylor has also voiced Princess Peach, Toad, and Toadette in various Mario games spin-offs as well as Zoey in Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2.
Microsoft has yet to comment on the report.
