Ace Attorney fans, take heart! Capcom’s staff has revealed that they are already hard at work on the next installment in the series, with possibly the help of a returning developer.
Speaking with 4Gamer, Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies director Takeshi Yamazaki says that he breathed a sigh of relief after they were able to release the game. Now, they are already starting work at the next game, and are doing so in full force. He does think they have a lot of interesting ideas in store, so he hopes fans are looking forward to it.
On the side, the series creator, Shu Takumi, has explained that he is already hard at work at a new project. Don't get too excited on this news, though, as it may not necessarily be the same Ace Attorney game. His last work in the franchise was for Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, released six years ago. He has since worked on Ghost Trick and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, before coming back to it with the landmark crossover Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
Shu intimates that he is pushing himself creatively with this new project, and that the title will be revealed in 2014. It’s not too much to hope he is rejoining the Ace Attorney team, is it? We’ll keep you updated on this next project when more information surfaces.
