This is a guide for the MSBS in Call of Duty Ghosts.
The MSBS is a modular Polish assault rifle with a lot of flexibility. It has the highest damage in its class, capable of killing targets at close range in 2 shots, with or without a headshot. That damage drops fast given range down to five shots to kill, four with one headshot.
Naturally, the MSBS has lower ROF compared to an automatic. It’s actually very low at 450 RPM. However, if you utilize its burst fire mode, you can get 900 RPM out rapidly. Hipfire is poor on this one, so taking full advantage of that high damage output necessitates being at point blank range.
Recoil is high, requiring you output more bursts to ensure a kill. Aim time is standard for its class, although it does enjoy high mobility.
Magazine capacity is standard for its class at 30 rounds per magazine, 45 rounds for extended magazines. Its reload time of 2.63 seconds is fast, although with burst fire mode reloading may not even be that big a deal.
With the MSBS, it’s important to soup up its accuracy, so that it can kill with one burst. The holographic sight goes a long way in this regard, with that little extra zoom ensuring you get on target. The foregrip will also make you a more efficient player, reducing the adverse effects of that recoil. The muzzle brake, on the other hand, will improve performance across a wider range, but the foregrip alone may be all you need to ensure one shot kills.
Focus is a necessary Perk to use. Down the line, you may also want to consider Deadeye. It is an expensive Perk, but worth the expense for the MSBS. Deadeye can build you up into an effective Specialist Strike Class, taking care of any issues with reliable damage and ranged damage in one fell swoop. Truth be told, a souped up MSBS is the best gun to use to build up high killstreaks. You may want to use Hardline in the road to earning Deadeye.
