Scans of this month’s edition of gameinformer mag have hit the internet, and pack a bunch of new details regarding Bungie’s next installment in the Halo franchise, Halo: Reach.

STORY
Set in the final days of Reach’s destruction, Halo: Reach, will take you through the epic journey of a six person squad of Spartan IIIs where you play the role of Noble 6, a replacement to the squad member lost in the line of duty. The game aims to familiarize players with the terrain, culture and the people of Planet Reach.
GAMEPLAY
With six times as many Spartans on the screen expect the battles to be a massive affair and Bungie has confirmed that there will be huge scale combat in store for players. Big focus in Halo: Reach would be to make the covenant more frightening and dangerous. A new species of enemies have been added known as Skirmishers who are deadly and cunning enemies that attack in packs. Armor abilities a new gameplay mechanic, which allows players to run short distances at fast speed or allow invisibility for a small period of time can be equipped, one at a time, by each player. The shield/health system from Halo 1 is back, and both spiked and flame grenades have been removed from the game.
MULTIPLAYER
Bungie has assured that the multiplayer experience will be at par with Halo 3 but fans can expect several new features to be added in the mix. Without going into details Bungie claimed Halo fans can expect the least i.e 4 player coop online, 2 player split screen, upto 16 player online competitive matches, save films and all other standard halo features. Armored abilities will be tied into the multiplayer experience which is going to bring a new dimension to competitive matches.
