Everybody loves Peggle. I don’t even think that’s me being subjective. The casual puzzle game is one of the most enjoyable time-wasters on the market, so the launch of Peggle 2 has Xbox One owners excited to watch pegs light up all over again. However, the lack of local multiplayer has left a bad taste in more than a few fans’ mouths, so PopCap Games producer Jared Neuss has come out to confirm that this feature will be added in the near future.
"So, now that Peggle 2 is out in the world, what are we doing? While I can't reveal too much, I'm happy to announce that we're currently focused on bringing you a multiplayer mode that may sound familiar to Peggle veterans: Duels!” he wrote on the developer’s Facebook page.
"This new mode will enable players to compete against each other, in the same room or across the Internet, head-to-head on the same board. We loved Duel mode in the original Peggle and can't wait to bring it into the updated world of Peggle 2!”
There’s no exact date at this point, but Neuss did confirm that the DLC will be free to all Peggle 2 players. Since the game missed the Xbox One launch, this seems like a good first step to making good with the fans.
