For today’s Call Of Duty Ghosts Weapons guide, we have for you the AK-12.
The AK-12 can take a man out with four shots at longer ranges, three if headshots, and three shots at close range, two if headshots. It can do three shot kills at a considerable range.
Rate of fire is at 697 RPM, and it is fully automatic, with average hipfire. Because of the slow rate of fire, it can be easily outclassed by faster guns. The moderate recoil means the fewer shots you get out will matter more, as they are more likely to hit the target. You will want to stick to burst firing at long range to raise accuracy and save on ammo. It has 300 ms aim time and very good mobility.
The AK-12 has 30 round capacity magazine, 45 with extended mags. Its 3.27 reload time is the slowest among its class.
As is expected of Kalashnikovs, the AK-12 is a powerful weapon, so the compromises in reload speed and rate of fire are disappointments.
For attachments, get the Armor Piercing rounds and the Muzzle Brake so that each shot that goes out of the AK is that much more effective.
When it comes to Perks, you will want Sleight of Hand to sustain consistent fire. Fully Loaded will also compensate for the gun’s other drawbacks. Alternately, if your playstyle involves constant movement, you can equip Scavenger. You may also prefer to use resistance based Perks to protect you at those instances where the gun fails you.
For the AK-12, the name of the game is automatic power, with recoil guaranteeing kills. Its slow rate of fire means you will have to be wary of more powerful guns. The gun is reliable, but you will have to be careful and deliberate to stay out of fights you can’t win.
