Don’t expect to use this trick to earn XP or for the game to count your wins, but if you’re looking for a casual way to play Fortnite: Battle Royale and just want to have some fun, there is a way to play Bot-Only matches in Fortnite: Chapter 2. If you’ve got warm, fuzzy feelings for the days when you could load up an Unreal Tournament Bot Match and just have fun solo, this weird little method might be exactly what you’re looking for.
Fortnite is a F2P game, and you can have all the fun you want without spending any money. That means you’re free to download and give the game a try without any cash commitment — and if you’re not a big fan of online play, this is a fun way to get some enjoyment out of Fortnite: Battle Royale with bots. As far as I’m aware, this is the only way to play any Battle Royale game mode with bots-only matches, making it a pretty unique experience.

How To Play Bot-Matches In Battle Royale
To play a Bots-Only Match without any human players at all, you’ll need to follow these simple, weird steps. The steps were shared by Fortnite fan u/Enframed.

- Input the code ‘TaborTime‘ in Solo
- Use the Custom Matchmaking Feature
This code / feature definitely isn’t exactly intended. It won’t work every single time, but it should mostly work. Give it a try and test your luck — I’ve always loved the simple joy of a stupid Bot Match.
And, like I said at the start, you can’t earn XP from these matches. Your wins also won’t count for your online total. That’s fine — that’s just normal Bot-Match operating procedure. It doesn’t make it any less fun.
