Zombieland: Double Tap Road Trip Announced

July 31, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Get ready for this twin-stick shooter.

Zombieland was an instant hit when it released into cinemas and later for home media entertainment. Since it’s release in 2009, the movie is gearing up for a sequel, Zombieland: Double Tap which is slated to release this year. To go along with the upcoming movie, a new game is releasing to feature some of the storyline and characters from the franchise as a twin-stick shooter. Best of all, this game will support local cooperative game mode.

Overall, Zombieland is a post-apocalyptic movie where humanity has fallen and the undead wanders the streets in search of living flesh to devour. Unlike some of the other films that deal with this scenario, Zombieland is a comedy giving the story a more lighthearted adventure for viewers to enjoy. This upcoming sequel will follow the same suit but it will come with an additional video game release, Zombieland: Double Tap Road Trip.

This is a twin-stick shooter that up to four players can join in and play. Gamers will be going through various missions that will relate to both the first film and upcoming sequel. Likewise, the characters from the film franchise will be present to take control as though you will be able to unlock additional characters as you progress through the game. If you’re interested in a twin-stick shooter and happen to enjoy the films then you can mark your calendars. Zombieland: Double Tap Road Trip is slated to release on October 15, 2019, for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
