As I previously noted in this article, Metal Gear Solid 5's newly announced character named Quiet appears to be dressed up in a bikini with fishnet leggings—clothing that's clearly unsuitable for the desert, much less for combat in the desert.
The character was made to look that way after noted game designer Hideo Kojima suggested to his character designer that he wanted an "erotic" female character who could push the sales of action figures and encourage cosplayers to dress up as her.
Needless to say, the design is far from "unique". It's tasteless and it's everything we hate about video games.
With that in mind, illustrator and artist Elizabeth Edwards has drawn up proper gear and protective clothing for Quiet, who looks much more suited for combat in her new get-up.
