Square Enix already has a massive video game released this year. The notable title was in development for years and now gamers are finally enjoying it on the PlayStation 4 along with the Xbox One. We’re of course referring to Kingdom Hearts 3, the third main installment to the long-running video game franchise. However, there is certainly more coming out from the development studio, we just don’t know what that is yet.
Revealed through a financial report, Square Enix president, Yosuke Matsuda, has a big game coming out this year for the studio. This was highlighted to a big spike of revenue projected in the third quarter of this year so whatever it is, the game is likely already announced and highly anticipated. So now we look at the two big video game titles already confirmed to be in development from the studio and that’s Final Fantasy VII and The Avengers project. Both titles don’t have a release date set yet and it’s really unclear if either will make it out this year so it could potentially be a whole different IP that will be announced soon.
After all, E3 is just around the corner. We’re months away and it’s the big expo show for developers, publishers, and manufacturers to take center stage and announce what all they have in the works. Speaking of E3, the Square Enix president also asked investors to look at E3 for announcements so while we don’t have the likes of Sony attending, Square Enix is just one of the several other attendees that will be offering news.
