You might have already played Yakuza Kiwami as the game released in 2017 outside of Japan for the PlayStation 4 platform. The game was a remake of the much-beloved Yakuza series first installment and now for those of you who didn’t get a chance to play the game on PlayStation 4 or don’t own the console, you’ll potentially get another chance in the near future.
We knew that Yakuza Kiwami was coming to the PC platform but the release date has been kept hidden until recently. Sega released a YouTube video which showcases just when players can pick up a copy which is set for February 19, 2019. For those unfamiliar with the game, this is a remake of the very first Yakuza title which follows a young man named Kiryu who becomes framed for the death of a high ranking Yakuza family member. As a result, Kiryu is outcasted and sent to prison.
After his stint within a prison, Kiryu goes around trying to solve the murder along with finding out just what happened to those he cared for. This is also a semi-open world as players will be free to explore the city, take on additional quests and partake in various activities. The game released to positive reviews and already has the sequel remastered for the PlayStation 4 with no word on when the PC release will be available.
