The time has finally come Star Wars fans; General Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to release on November 28th for Star Wars Battlefront 2 as free DLC.
Obi-Wan has been one of the long-requested characters to join the ever-growing ensemble of heroes to play as in the game. Now, we are only a couple of days away from finally getting our hands on the new character. EA has released some new information about the character, as well as a new trailer showcasing the map of Geonosis.
Check out the new trailer showcasing Obi-Wan and the new map Geonosis:
Geonosis is looking awesome and fans of the Clone Wars will appreciate the detail of the map, vehicles, and new upcoming set of objectives for Galatic Assault mode. EA then went into more detail about Obi-Wan, detailing his move sets, attributes, and more.
Check out the full set of details down below:
Our intention is to make him feel like the general we follow throughout the Clone Wars, where he commanded the 212thAttack Battalion – also coming to the game as Appearances for the Galactic Republic with the Battle of Geonosis update.
This is most markedly referenced through his Defensive Rush Ability, where Obi-Wan rushes forward while swinging his lightsaber, deflecting blaster shots with flawless accuracy and damaging enemies in front of him. When this Ability is active, the player can choose to deliver a final strike at anytime.
Messing with an opponent’s head is a bit of a specialty of Obi-Wan’s, and this is showcased with the Restrictive Mind Trick Ability. The mind trick disrupts the target’s Abilities for a short time – including dodges! Use it wisely to outsmart your enemy.
Offensively, he can utilize the Force to make an All-Out Push. It’s similar to Luke Skywalker’s push, but Obi-Wan’s version is more focused than that of his future pupil. We’re giving additional control to the player, as holding down the button increases the range of this Ability.
To sum things up, Obi-Wan Kenobi is composed, defensive, and a true master of the Force.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is now available to play on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Are you excited to finally get General Obi-Wan Kenobi in the multiplayer shooter? Let us know in the comments below!
