CD Projekt Red has a brand new IP in the works and its one that fans all over the world are eager to get their hands on. Known as Cyberpunk 2077, this upcoming video game drops the medieval fantasy setting that The Witcher series presented fans for a new neon filled a futuristic world filled with corruption. This has been a game that’s been building up in hype since its announcement but after attendees of both E3 and Gamescom this year got a glimpse of gameplay footage, fans were finally given the opportunity to see just how the game controls through a livestream.

Earlier this week Cyberpunk 2077 had their first gameplay showing online where we witness this new first-person RPG journey set for this generation platforms. Unfortunately, some gamers have not taken up with the first-person perspective and wish to see the game turn more into a third-person RPG title much like their previous series, The Witcher.

Despite the outcry from fans hoping that a third-person option will be included, it doesn’t appear that the developers are going to change their minds. Speaking with DualShockers, quest designer, Patrick Mills stated that the team is fully aware that there are gamers who are not interested in first-person video games.

“We are firm in that decision. However, we’re very aware that a lot of people don’t like first-person, and there is a small number of people who can’t play first-person for a variety of reasons.”

While we may not get a third-person option available in Cyberpunk 2077, it does appear that the developers will adjust the difficulty among other options to hopefully suit gamers that are not normally comfortable with a first-person video game.

If you want a quick rundown as to the biggest features showcased during the gameplay reveal of Cyberpunk 2077, take a look at our list right here.
