In a recent interview video entitled “Ask Mr. Takahashi,” the head of software development made an interesting comment towards the party-racing title.
Following Takahasi’s statement on the ability to use Nintendo Labo’s Toy-Con Motorbike, Shinya Takahashi goes on to say that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has further updates planned and that he hopes fans will look forward to. From there he goes on to speak about The Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild.
Takahashi also said to expect “more free updates all the way until December” for Splatoon 2.

- With Nintendo Switch, fans can race in the definitive version of “Mario Kart 8” whenever and wherever they want – even with up to eight friends in local multiplayer mode. “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” includes all the tracks and characters from the Wii U version as well as all the tracks and characters that were previously only available as downloadable content.
- In addition, a few new characters in the driving fun to enter: the Inkling boy and the Inkling girl from Splatoon, King Buu Huu, bone dry and Bowser Jr.!
