Life Is Strange 2: Captain Spirit – Dad’s Phone Pin & Locker Codes | Secrets Guide

June 26, 2018 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Unlock your dad’s phone and that pesky locker in The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit with all the codes you can use in this free prequel to Life is Strange 2.

The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is a new prologue chapter available now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, presumably setting up the story in Life Is Strange 2. It’s a quick (and free!) story about a young boy and his private adventures — it isn’t exactly clear how all this ties into Life Is Strange 2, or even what Life Is Strange 2 will be about, but it’s a tantalizing little mystery that tosses you around emotionally, just like the original story.

There are also two secrets in the game — secrets that are shockingly difficult to discover for yourself. In the story, you can access a locker and your dad’s phone. The locker is possible to crack if you explore enough of the game yourself. The pin code for your dad’s phone is way, way harder. You don’t need to know how to find the codes, you just need to put those codes in. Check them both out below, and I’ll also explain just how the code crackers on Reddit were able to solve the phone pin code mystery.

Dad’s Phone Pin & Locker Codes | Secrets Guide

To unlock the locker and your dad’s phone, you’ll need to input codes. These are totally optional — it’s okay if you miss them, but it’s always cool to discover hidden stuff in these games.

  • Dad’s Phone Pin: 42983294
  • Locker Code: 2005

The phone pin is the hardest code to discover for yourself. In your home, you’ll probably notice some Hawtdog Man artwork — he’s a hero that’s also a goofy looking hotdog. The dad’s phone code is actually HAWTDOG spelled in old phone cell phone type; 1 = ABC, 2 = DEF, 3 = GHI, etc. Each letter is a number, but why would the father care about Hawtdog Man?

If you look closely, there are hints that the boy’s mother is actually the creator of Hawtdog Man, so it makes sense why he would keep a sentimental attachment to the character, and use it as a password for his phone. That’s just a theory, but it sounds like a pretty good one to me.
