UPDATE: Article was updated for Week 9 challenges [4/22/2018]
With the third season of Fortnite, developers have added a series of challenges for players to go through weekly. The challenges often do not require players to complete them in a single match though they can be challenging to go through.
If you’re stuck on how to complete a challenge or if you need directions on where to go, then check out our guide below. We will continue to update this article when new sets of challenges are released.
Note: To help guide players, use this map to identify the various quadrants.
Week 9 Challenges
- Damage Structures
- 5 Stars
Must deal 5,000 damage to opponent structures.
- Haunted Hills Chests
- 5 Stars
Must open seven chests within Haunted Hills.
- Build Structures
- 5 Stars
Must construct 250 in structures.
- Taco Shops
- 5 Stars
Must visit three different Taco Shops within a single match.
- Moisty Mire Treasure Map
- 10 Stars
The location the treasure map will take players is on the broken roof house within area below of southwest Retail Row.
- Shotgun Eliminations
- 10 Stars
Must eliminate four opponents with a shotgun.
- Lucky Landing Eliminations
- 10 Stars
Take out three opponents within the Lucky’s Landing.
Week 8 Challenges
- Use a vending machine
- 5 Stars
Vending machines are located all over the map. Players simply need to find one and use it.
- Deal damage with Explosive Weapons
- 5 Stars
Players will have to deal 500 damage to opponents through the use of any explosive weapon.
- Search chests in Shobby Shores
- 5 Stars
Head to Snobby Shores and loot seven chests. There will be plenty of spawn locations for chests in the area.
- Dance on different Dance Floors
- 5 Stars
Use the dance emote on three different dance floors. You’ll find one dance floor in the red barn at the trailer park by Retail Row, another will be found in the brick house west of Pleasant Park and lastly the third dance floor is in the brick building within Flush Factory.
- Search between Three Boats
- 10 Stars
Head to Loot Lake. You’ll find an island right in the middle of the lake, go over to the island and find a token.
- Assault Rifle Eliminations
- 10 Stars
Defeat five opponents with Assault Rifles.
- Eliminate opponents in Dusty Depot
- 10 Stars
Defeat three opponents within Dusty Depot.
Week 7 Challenges
- Search Chests in Lonely Lodge
- 5 Stars
Open up seven chests within Lonely Lodge. Spawn points are scattered, you’ll find them on cliffs, at the top of the tower and cabins.
- Deal damage with Shotguns
- 5 Stars
Deal at least 1,000 damage to opponents while using shotguns.
- Search a Chest, Ammo Box & Supply Drop
- 5 Stars
Players will have to open up a chest, ammo box and supply drop in a single match.
- Search the Hidden Gnome in different Named locations
- 5 Stars
There are several gnomes scattered throughout the map. You’ll need to find seven of them. Use the map below to track where some of the gnomes are located.
- Follow the treasure map found in Retail Row
- 10 Stars
The map can be found within Retail Row but you can bypass it and go through the hedge maze at Wailing Woods. You’ll find the token within the maze.
- Suppressed Weapon Eliminations
- 10 Stars
Players will have to defeat three opponents using a suppressed weapon.
Take out three opponents with a suppressed weapon.
- Eliminate opponents in Shifty Shafts
- 10 Stars
Players will need to take down three opponents in Shifty Shafts. Close ranged weapons will work best in this area.
Week 6 Challenges
- Deal damage with SMGs to opponents
- 5 Stars
Deal 500 damage to opponents with an SMG.
- Search Chests in Anarchy Acres
- 5 Stars
Open seven chests in Anarchy Acres. You’ll find most within buildings such as barns or the metal silo.
- Place a Cozy Campfire
- 5 Stars
When you’re able to grab a Cozy Campfire, use it once to complete the challenge.
- Summit different Mountains Peaks
- 5 Stars
There are several mountains towards the east. Climb to the top of at least ten of them and place your banner.
- Search between a Metal Bridge, Three Billboards and a Crashed Bus
- 10 Stars
You’re searching for a token with the clues given above. However, if you look at the map which was provided at the top of the article, you’ll find the token on top of a mountain that’s on the right side of the river in quadrant E7.
- Explosive Weapon Eliminations
- 10 Stars
Use any explosive weapons to take out three opponents.
- Eliminate opponents in Retail Row
- 10 Stars
Take out three opponents within Retail Row. There are a lot of close quarter buildings in the area so using something like a shotgun may prove useful.
Week 5 Challenges
- Use the Bush
- 5 Stars
When you come across The Bush costume wear it once to complete the challenge.
- Search Chests in Moisty Mire
- 5 Stars
Open seven chests within Moisty Mire. There will be several spawns under big trees.
- Deal damage with a Pickaxe to opponents
- 5 Stars
Players will need to deal a total of 200 damage with a pickaxe which equals out to being 20 hits.
- Visit different Gas Stations in a single match
- 5 Stars
Head inside at least three gas stations scattered throughout the map. You’ll find them at several spots such as Pleasant Park, Soccer Stadium, Greasy Grove, or Tomato Town.
- Follow the treasure map found in Anarchy Acres
- 10 Stars
The treasure map can be found within the biggest barn at Arachy Acres. However, you can bypass it and go straight for the token that’s in front of a boulder. You’ll find it within the center of quadrant B2.
- Pistol Eliminations
- 10 Stars
Players must take out three opponents through the use of a pistol.
- Eliminate opponents in Tilted Towers
- 10 Stars
Take out three opponents within Titled Towers. Being that the area is normally filled quite a bit, you’ll want to use a shotgun or head back and carefully snipe players.
Week 4 Challenges
- Deal damage with Sniper Rifles to opponents
- 5 Stars
Deal at least 500 damage to opponents with a sniper rifle.
- Search Chests in Flush Factory
- 5 Stars
Open up at least seven chests within Flush Factory. They can be found throughout the buildings, on the toilet conveyor belt, within the toilet test room, in cargo crates, along within the small garage.
- Search Supply Drops
- 5 Stars
Open up three supply crates that are dropped from the skies. You’ll want to listen for the notification and head to the area though be
- Visit different Ice Cream Trucks
- 5 Stars
Visit five ice cream trucks that are scattered around the map. Below are five easy to find ice cream truck locations

Southern Greasy Grove
Retail Row Water Tower
Within Tomato Town
- Search between a Vehicle Tower, Rock Sculpture and a Circle of Hedges
- 10 Stars
The token between the vehicle tower, rock sculpture and circle of hedges is within the left section of quadrant H9.
- Trap Eliminations
- 10 Stars
Players must defeat one opponent through the use of a trap.
- Eliminate opponents in Tomato Town
- 10 Stars
Head to Tomato Town and take out three opponents.
Week 3 Challenges
- Harvest building resources with a pickaxe
- 5 Stars
Demolish enough buildings so that you’ll acquire 3,000 materials total.
- Deal damage with Suppressed Weapons to opponents
- 5 Stars
Deal at least 500 damage to opponents with a suppressed weapon.
- Search Chests in Junk Junction
- 5 Stars
Open seven chests within Junk Junction. You’ll find them within the center building and near smashed cars.
- Land on different Bullseyes
- 5 Stars
When you jump from the bus, look for the red pulsating ring and land on it. Do that for at least seven locations to complete the challenge.
- Follow the treasure map found in Snobby Shores
- 10 Stars
The treasure map will be within the security room of the northern house on Snobby Shores. This map will take you to a valley between two mountains where a token can be found. If you need help finding the valley, its within the bottom left area of quadrant C4.
- Crossbow Eliminations
- 10 Stars
Take out an opponent within a crossbow.
- Eliminate opponents in Salty Springs
- 10 Stars
Players will only have to take out three opponents within Salty Springs.
Week 2 Challenges
- Use a Launchpad
- 5 Stars
Players must use a Launchpad at least once.
- Deal damage with Assault Rifles to opponents
- 5 Stars
Using an assault rifle, players must deal 1,000 damage to opponents.
- Search Chests in Wailing Woods
- 5 Stars
Go through Wailing Woods and open seven chests. Since there are limited chests within the area, you’ll have to repeat this a few times.
- Dance in different forbidden locations
- 5 Stars
Dance by the no dancing signs at the different forbidden areas. To dance, players will have to select the emote.While there are more than five areas around the map to complete this challenge, the easier areas to reach will be listed below.

- Search between a Pool, Windmill, and an Umbrella
- 10 Stars
Players must go to the center from the following points to collect the token.
Abandoned Motel Pool – Quadrant D2
Anarchy Acres Windmill – E2
Mining Cave Umbrella – E3
- SMG Eliminations
- 10 Stars
Players must defeat three opponents with an SMG weapon.
- Eliminate opponents in Greasy Grove
- 10 Stars
Players must defeat three opponents within Greasy Grove.
Week 1 Challenges
- Deal damage with Pistols to opponents
- 5 Stars
Players must deal at least 500 damage to opponents with a pistol.
- Search Chests in Pleasant Park
- 5 Stars
There are several chests scattered throughout Pleasant Park so it won’t be a challenge to find them. Players must open seven of them.
- Revive Players
- 5 Stars
Get a group of friends on Fortnite and revive five of them to complete this challenge.
- Visit a Llama, Fox and a Crab
- 5 Stars
Players must visit three locations in order to earn this challenge.
Junk Junction Llama – Quadrant B1
Wailing Woods Fox – Quadrant J3
Moisty Mire Crab – Quadrant H10
- Follow the treasure map found in Dusty Depot
- 10 Stars
Between the north and center hangar will be a map. This map will take players to the small town south of Shifty Shafts. Look for the lone tree near the town to find the token.
- Sniper Rifle Eliminations
- 10 Stars
Players must take out two opponents with a sniper rifle to complete the challenge.
- Eliminate opponents in Fatal Fields
- 10 Stars
Players will have to defeat three opponents within Fatal Fields.
