Following the revelation earlier today that Sony has issued invites to a special event next Wednesday, May 15th, a teaser trailer has appeared online for Gran Turismo 6.
The footage, which you can see below, promises "something big" for the announcement and highlights the 15th anniversary of the series. The trailer splits between live action and in-game footage of the Silverstone Formula 1 Circuit in the UK where the announcement is due to take place.
"Join us to celebrate 15 years of Gran Turismo, and discover exciting announcements about its future" the invite for the event reads and it also includes the #15YearsofGT Twitter trend. Despite the launch of the PS4 later this year Gran Turismo 6 is believed to be a PS3 title although a cross-gen release may be possible, Sony has said all of its studios are developing for PS4.
The game was originally announced back in 2010 by series creator Kazunori Yamauchi but details remain extremely scarce.
