Following the release of the first screenshots, DICE & EA have revealed the first gameplay trailer of Battlefield 3 emphasizing the visual prowess of its new Frostbite 3 engine. The visuals are definitely a step up, but the upgrade would seem subtle to the average person as Battlefield 3 was already a pretty good looking game itself.
Once again, the gameplay shows DICE's fascination with dramatic quicktime events in the single player campaign. Squad orders and working together is something that Battlefield games are known for and Battlefield 4 will continue this trend on all three fronts–land, sea and air.
You can already pre-order the game at select retail outlets and receive a premium expansion pack at no additional cost. The Origin exclusive digital pre-order will get you the base game plus additional digital items, along with the premium expansion pack and exclusive access to the multiplayer beta.
