Blizzard and Sony are two names you'd never imagine together, but the two companies have entered into what Blizzard's Chris Metzen calls a "strategic partnership."
After a little warm up, Metzen announced that Diablo III will be coming to the PlayStation 4, as well as the PlayStation 3.
The entire game has been revamped for the PS3 and PS4's control scheme. Everything from the controls, character menus, and inventory management has been overhauled for the console.
The game comes with full screen four-player co-op. Instead of splitting the game into multiple screens, Blizzard is making it so that Diablo III will be able to run with all players viewing a single screen. As to how that actually works, it's hard to say—but Metzen teased that they'll release proper details about the PS3 and PS4 version of Diablo III in the coming months.
It also remains to be seen whether the studio will cling to its always-online requirement or whether they'll use the PlayStation Network to run the game.
