Many people have been waiting years for this, and it seems that the time has finally arrived. Brutal Legend, the action-adventure game from Double Fine Productions, is going to be available for PC users.
The game will be released through Steam for $20. However, if you pre-order it today, you can get 25 percent knocked off of the price. A great game for $15? Sounds like a pretty good deal, or at the very least extremely tempting.
People who pre-order the game will also receive exclusive access to the multiplayer beta, as well as exclusive Team Fortress 2 items because no Steam game is complete without hats. The multiplayer mode includesan eight-player skirmish, where players will lead armies in a Battle of the Bands.
You can also pre-order the Brutal Legend Soundtrack Edition for 25 percent off, which will be normally priced at $25. The soundtrack–well known for its use of all facets of metal–features 108 tracks from 75 artists.
Even if you don't get there in time for the sale, as a PC player, you gain access to both the Hammer of Infinite Fate and Tears of the Hextadon multiplayer map packs.
The game, starring Jack Black and featuring cameos from dozens of metal legends including Ozzy Osbourne, is a must for any fan of good ol' fashioned rock, or even just for fans of action-adventure games from Double Fine, which always offers a very unique experience.
A release date has not been announced, but we will update as we learn more information.
