Mythical Pokemon Meloetta Giveaway at Participating Retailers

People with a copy of either Pokemon Black, Pokemon White, Pokemon Black 2, or Pokemon White 2 will soon be able to get hold of the mythical Pokemon Meloetta for their collection. From March 4^th, players in the U.S. will be able to take their game into any participating GameStop store and receive the mythical Pokemon. In Canada, players will be able to do the same at participating EB stores from March 9^th. But the offer will only be available for “a short time”, so if you want your very own Meloetta you'll have to make it quick.

Meloetta is a melody Pokemon, and looks like a ballerina with staves for hair. It has the ability to change form in battle, switching between its “Aria Forme” (less Game of Thrones and more – according to Google – “a long, accompanied song for a solo voice, typically one in an opera or oratorio”) and its “Pirouette Forme”. While the Aria Forme is Normal and Psychic, the Pirouette Forme is Normal and Fighting. So it's kind of like having two Pokemon in one, which seems useful given how many types there are compared to how many Pokemon you're allowed to take into battle.

If you want a Meloetta for yourself, you need to visit one of the participating stores during the distribution period with the following:

• A Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo DS system

• A copy of the Pokémon Black 2, Pokémon White 2, Pokémon Black,or Pokémon White game

• The Pokédex within the game

• No more than 11 Wonder Cards
