Battlefield V is the latest upcoming installment to the Battlefield franchise which will follow after the previous release, Battlefield 1. This time around, EA Dice is focusing their storyline with World War II as players embark on yet another war-torn journey. Unfortunately, not too many details have been released yet for the game, though from the trailers released it seems that we’ll still have the war stories style campaign much like how EA DICE developed Battlefield 1.
Multiplayer is also still a major component with Battlefield V and it will receive even more new expansive game modes. Also, the game will include a battle royale style mode which doesn’t come to much surprise due to the success other titles have been receiving with battle royale.
What may be the most popular aspect leading up to the release of Battlefield V is the fact that the game has no premium pass or paid expansions which means that everyone will gain access to the content released after launch.
World War Z
- Developer: Saber Interactive
- Publisher: Saber Interactive
- Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
- Release: 2018
World War Z became a hit novel when it released and since then the story was adapted loosely into a blockbuster film. Now that story is moving into the video game industry with a title being developed under Saber Interactive.
We’re still waiting to hear more information about the game, but from what we can tell so far, the video game may be aimed more towards the novel than the film. Players will be going across the world in different regions as they partake in survival stories against the zombie pandemic.
Furthermore, the game will feature four player co-op which means you and your friends can blast through the undead. There seems to be a massive amount of undead coming at players so you may not get the same vibe and feel as Left 4 Dead though, at the same time, the reveal trailer does show players unloading assault weapons into the horde rather than rushing to safety.
Mega Man 11
- Developer: Capcom
- Publisher: Capcom
- Platforms: PC, NS, PS4, XBO
- Release: 2018
We’re still looking at scarce information when it comes to Mega Man 11, but it looks like the long-beloved Mega Man franchise will receive a new main installment late 2018. There is certainly a strong following with the franchise and we know that this eleventh installment will feature 3D characters and environments and not a 2.5D video game.
From the announcement trailer, it looks like the same game mechanics are gameplay are present that the series is known for. However, for now, we’ll have to wait and see just what the narrative will hold when it comes to the game. Likewise, with the title already claiming to not release until late 2018, this very well could be a game that will be delayed until next year, 2019.
Regardless, we’re keeping close tabs with Mega Man 11 and will continue to update you on the progress of the video game.

Developers also have plans for future DLC with the game so after you finish up the narrative campaign and side missions, more content will be rolling out for gamers to enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooyjaVdt-jA

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be launching in October of this year though there is one rather major element being completely dropped with this upcoming installment.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will not contain a campaign mode. In the day and age of battle royale modes being incredibly popular, Treyarch has decided to make this next call of the Duty title to feature nothing but a multiplayer component.
The focus will be doubling down on the multiplayer game modes including Zombies. So if you’re a fan of Call of Duty for their online multiplayer matches then you have nothing to worry about in this installment but with that said, if you picked up the latest installments to enjoy the action-packed campaigns then you may have to hold out for the 2019 installment release.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD
- Developer: General Arcade, FromSoftware
- Publisher: Devolver Digital
- Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
- Release: 2018
Metal Wolf Chaos was released in 2004 as a Japanese only Xbox exclusive title that features America’s president going to war with the vice president. Oddly enough the game never made it overseas which meant that the game was incredibly tough to come by and even more so to play. However, over the years the interest of playing this game only grew and now thanks to Devolver Digital, it seems that we’re going to be receiving localized copies.
Metal Wolf Chaos XD is the upcoming remastered edition of the game being developed under General Arcade. Players outside of Japan will finally be able to enjoy this mech title where President Michael Wilson will be fighting against the rebellion that’s under control of Vice-President Richard Hawk.

Life is Strange 2
- Developer: Dontnod Entertainment
- Publisher: Square Enix
- Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
- Release: September 27, 2018
Life is Strange was a massive hit release for developers Dontnod Entertainment. Players embarked on a personal and deeply emotional journey as they stepped into the shoes of a young high school student named Max. Without going too much into detail about the first game, Max finds out she has a supernatural ability that allows her to stop and rewind time. With this new power, Max and her best friend Chloe begins to dig up old town secrets while the overall gameplay narrative is shaped from the choices you make along the way.
We’ve been waiting for a sequel to the franchise and while it’s not a direct sequel to the first installment, Dontnod Entertainment is bringing on a brand new story set within the same world. The developers have been very secretive about this upcoming title but the hype and expectations for a great game are already set pretty high.
With that said, the development studio did release a standalone free video game called The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit which gives players a small glimpse into Life is Strange 2 and supposedly a few characters as well. Just what characters are making a bigger appearance in Life is Strange 2 remains to be seen.
