Call of Duty: WWII Development Comes To An End; Zombie Image Revealed

October 23, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

Zombies is looking more horrifying than ever.

The development for this year’s highly anticipated iteration of the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: WWII has finally come to an end, with the release of the title just around the corner, fans are hyped to see that everything seems to be in order regarding its launch.

Taking to Twitter Sledgehammer Games boss Glen Schofield confirmed that after three years of everything that entailed the development of the game, including research, writing, and design, the game’s development is now officially done and dusted.

This giant project WWII is done creatively. 3 years of research, design, writing, etc is over. Im a bit empty. In the hands of the fans now.

When Schofield posted this tweet, he also gave a little sneak peek regarding the upcoming zombie mode (hailed to be the scariest in the series).

Exciting right? I can’t wait to get my hands on this version of Zombies – especially considering the mode took a strange turn becoming more of an arcade game than the originally ‘scary’ atmosphere for Nacht Der Untoten and Der Reise.

In other Call of Duty news, the COD open beta on PC had 5X more players than last year’s Infinite Warfare iteration.

‘With the closure of Call of Duty: WWII Open Beta weekend, we’ve had a glimpse of how the game will perform on PC master race, and it seems that it’s made a huge improvement from last year’s futuristic look at the Call of Duty franchise across the board. So much so that statistically speaking, the Call of Duty: WWII beta had 5X more player than Infinite Warfare last year.’

Call of Duty: World War 2 launches on November 3 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
