Seeing as Dead Space 3 is about a week away from launch, EA has now seen it fit to release the title's launch trailer to welcome both old and new fans of the sc-fi horror series.
In the trailer below which is titled "Take Down the Terror," Dead Space 3 protagonist Isaac Clarke is tasked to do just that — wipe the universe of the Necromorphs. But one major difference this time is he will get help in the form of Lt. John Carver.
Fortunately, there's not a lot of spoilers in it; so you can watch it without fear of getting the game's plot ruined in any way.
For those not keeping tabs on the game, Isaac Clarke is in the snowy planet of Tau Volantis. Yes, that's the level shown off in the trailer. You'll also see Carver walking side by side with Clarke a few seconds in.
Now that we're traversing a more wide open space and we even have a partner, let's hope Visceral hasn't dialed down the scares and whatnot since we really, really need a genuine horror game after Resident Evil 6 failed to provide that kind of thrill.
If you want to try before you buy, Dead Space 3's demo is out now on the PSN and on Xbox LIVE. It shows off the Tau Volantis section with a few significant encounters here and there. Plus we even get to see the game's retooled work bench, too.
Dead Space 3 is set for a February 5 release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
