Ubisoft has just announced Splinter Cell Blacklist's Paladin Collector's Edition and I have to admit, it looks very enticing.
While it is a bit pricey at $169.99, it does include a ton of content for the price. In it are: a copy of the 88-page Splinter Cell Echoes graphic novel, a Splinter Cell poster, the "Billionaire's Yacht" co-op map, the Upper Echelon Pack containing the "Dead Coast" co-op map with the Gold Sonar Goggles and Upper Echelon suit in-game stuff, the game itself and most impressive of all — a radio-controlled (RC) version of the Paladin airplane that Sam Fisher and his Fourth Echelon team use as their airborne headquarters!
Not impressed? See it for yourself in the trailer.
Now that's a collector's edition! Although it does a whole lot more than just getting the vanilla game for $60. But there is an actual miniature plane included, so you can't really complain.
The Paladin Collector's Edition will be available on August 20 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Are you willing to plunk down $170 to take Fisher's plane out for a spin? If only the thing had cameras and other gadgets and it would be a no-brainer..at least for me anyway.
Thanks, IGN
