Indie Royale has announced its latest bundle of indie games, this one called the Snow Storm Bundle. That name isn't making me feel any better about the freezing temperatures (here in the U.K. at least) and the fact that our heating doesn't work right now, but I guess I'll have to forgive it because the main game in this one is an absolute doozy.
Resonance is an adventure game from XII Games and Wadjet Eye Games (the guys who brought us Primordia). It has a pretty retro style, making it feel like a classic, but with a complex mystery story. You also get to play as four different protagonists, each with his or her own story to tell, and use those four to their best abilities as you try to work out how everything is connected. It's an awesome game, and makes the bundle worth a purchase on its own.
So it's a bonus that you'll also get Hinterland (a fantasy game in which you build a village and then draw people to live and work there who can then join you on quests), RoboBlitz (an action game in which you play a robot using physics to solve puzzles and save its factory), StarDrone (the one where you zip around the stars like a pinball building up momentum until your Drone is unstoppable), Project Aftermath (an arcade RTS set in a retro-futuristic world), and RobotRiot (a retro-styled shooter/platformer).
The current minimum for the bundle is £3.39 (at today's exchange rate, $5.42), but if you pay more than £5.09 ($8) you also get a chiptune album from Pixeljam.
