Visceral Games has released a new trailer for Dead Space 3 and this might be the best one yet. To start off, there are no montage of action sequences or set pieces strung together, but what we do get are scenes showing us how humans turn to necromorphs, and how far some are willing to go to make sure humans "evolve."
It might just be me, but it shows Dead Space 3 might just bring the horror yet in survival horror. It's certainly loads better than seeing Isaac and John tearing everything down.
Speaking of John Carver, the trailer also reminds players that co-op in the game will be optional. Not only that, but it also touches upon Isaac Clarke's delusions (finally!) and that Carver might be infected with it, too. There's a particular line uttered in the trailer where Clarke (?) stresses "hey, if you're seeing something that isn't there, you need to tell me, Carver." Implying John might be suffering from the "sickness" that was plaguing Clarke in Dead Space 2.
Could both our heroes be sick and imagining each other? That's certainly a possibility that a lot of Dead Space fans have already thought of.
Will you be playing Dead Space 3 alone or with a friend when it ships in February? For those who are fans of the series, do you think Carver is just a figment of Clarke's mind? Speculate away in the comments.
