PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS FPS & Performance Guide

PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS may have taken the gaming world by storm, but one of its weaker notes is its performance. We’ve written up a guide on how to optimize the game so you can spend less time lagging and more time fragging. These FPS tweaks and setting adjustments will help you see enemies easier, reduce the stress on your computer, and more.

Setting Launch Parameters

  1. Open up your steam library.
  2. Navigate to PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS.
  3. Right-click and select properties.
  4. Select launch options at the bottom.
  5. Paste in: -USEALLAVAILABLECORES

To do the next section of the guide you will need to use your PC’s word editor.

Editing User Settings

  1. Open file explorer by pressing Win + R or using the search field in the start menu.
  2. Type in: %localappdata%\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
  3. Open up GameUserSetting.ini
  4. Paste in the following OVER the current settings.

5. Save the file, right-click it and set to Read Only.


Editing Game Engine

  1. Open file explorer by pressing Win + R or using the search field in the start menu.
  2. Type in: %localappdata%\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
  3. Open up Engine.ini
  4. Paste in the following UNDER the current settings.

5. Save the file, right-click it and set to Read Only.


Editing Scalability

  1. Open file explorer by pressing Win + R or using the search field in the start menu.
  2. Type in: %localappdata%\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
  3. Open up Scalability.ini
  4. Paste in the following settings (file is blank by deault).
