The SEGA Dreamcast launched into the markets back in 1999. In a lot of ways, the console was ahead of its time and SEGA was still a household name when it came to hardware along with software. Despite this, the console had a very short lifespan of just a couple short years when SEGA discontinued the console back in 2001.
