Tekken 7 Developers Still Can’t Get A Nintendo Switch

April 27, 2017 by Dennis Patrick

What does that mean for a potential Tekken 7 Switch release?

Tekken 7 marks as the ninth installment of the Tekken series and while Bandai Namco Entertainment has already released the game for arcades, gamers will soon receive the title for home consoles along with the PC platform.

The question that some gamers may have on their minds since the announcement of Tekken 7 is if the game will find a release for the Nintendo Switch.

There are a number of video game titles that gamers have been curious as to if they will see a launch on the latest Nintendo console, the Switch. However, a number of these video game titles have been shot down by developers and it looks like Tekken 7 is already facing a big issue when it comes to developing the title.

Speaking to GameSpot, series producer Katsuhiro Harada spoke up about a Nintendo Switch version. Unfortunately, it seems that the amount of information that the producer is able to say is minimum, though he did admit that the developers are still not even able to get their hands on a Switch unit yet.

“Officially, we can’t really comment on that because our company has strict policy about which titles we talk about for Switch. But personally, we’ve been so busy with trying to master up Tekken for the current platforms that we haven’t really had enough time to study the hardware.

We couldn’t even buy it–it was sold out every time we went to look for it.”

While it’s not completely out of the question yet, Tekken 7 doesn’t look like it will see a launch for the Nintendo Switch when it releases into the market for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms.

We imagine that if the title does reach the console platform there would be a few Nintendo guest characters to appear in the game roster exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. Regardless, for gamers who are interested in picking up a copy of the game can do so on June 2, 2017.
