Naughty Dog director of communications Arne Mayer gave fans a little estimate of how long Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be.
Speaking with IBTimes, Mayer explained the process the team had to go through when pitching potential story ideas. Check out the statement down below:
“There’s no way we could, sort of, constrict and restrain ourselves,” said Mayer, “and that’s exactly what was happening here. When we were doing story pitches, we were coming up with a game that would be over ten hours long and so we suddenly realized everything we said was true and we couldn’t keep it short.”
The Lost Legacy is a big expansion for Uncharted or any Naughty Dog title. Previous titles such as Last of US – Left Behind DLC took players roughly 2-3 hours to complete. The Lost Legacy will also be the first ever stand-alone Uncharted game.
The Lost Legacy will be taking place 12 months after the events of Uncharted 4, meaning with Shoreline crumbling, Nadine is left with no work. This is where the two characters begin their partnership. The two are in search for a priceless relic — the Tusk of Ganesh.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is the first-ever standalone Uncharted game, which is set to release exclusively for the PS4 sometime this year.
