Psyonix revealed Rocket League is getting an addition called Rumble next month, according to their announcement made today during the Hollywood Rocket League Championship Series. Check out the trailer.
So what in the world is Rocket League Rumble all about? It’s a battle mode with randomized power-ups thrown in to the mix, giving a fight with pretty fair odds no matter what. The developers have released a full list of all 11 power-ups that are set to debut here.
- The Boot (Kick’s an opponent’s car)
- Disruptor (Forces the opponent to drive uncontrollably)
- Freezer (Freezes the ball in-place)
- Grappling Hook (Pulls you towards the ball)
- Haymaker (Punches the ball)
- Magnetizer (Attracts the ball to your car)
- Plunger (Grabs the ball via plunger and cord)
- Power Hitter (Hit everything harder)
- Spike (Attach the ball to your car when you bump into it)
- Swapper (Change positions on the field with your opponent)
- Tornado (Sweep up the ball and cars into a giant funnel cloud)
It’ll arrive in a similar fashion as the Hoops and Mutator modes did, sliding into your online playlists this September. It’ll come in both Private and Exhibition flavors. But the developers also teased “more details” in the weeks to come as to what the rest of September’s update will bring. We’ll have to wait and see.
Rocket League is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. For all the latest details, check out the game’s website, Twitter, and Facebook.
