We have a good roundup of detaisl on WWE 2K16, courtesy JD from New York. You can follow him on YouTube here.
There is a new body system that will allow you to simulate ring psychology to some extent. It may not be possible to recreate psychology the way a Bret Hart did in the ring, but what you can do is target a limb or a body part using weapons. The wrestler who gets struck will react with appropriate animations, holding onto their legs or their heads. This makes kendo sticks, TLC, baseball bats, etc strategic choices and not just something to play with.
Brandon Silvestry, known in the ring invariably as Low Ki, Senshi, and Kaval, joins Chase Stevens, Cesaro, and Damien Sandow, in doing motion capture for the game. It seems easier for WWE and 2K Games to have other wrestlers recreate certain moves of their superstars. The exception seems to be Cesaro and Damien Sandow. Sandow actually did the mocap for Randy Orton, and Rey Mysterio’s 619 counter.
A lot of customization options were missing from WWE 2K15, so much so that you could not even create your own Divas. We have confirmation from Chase Stevens that Create-A-Finisher is returning with whole new animations he did motion capture for.
There will also be new animations for celebrating winning a title. 2K went the extra mile and installed sensors in the belts to make this more realistic.
It’s possible that 2K Games will bring WWE games to more platforms, following WWE 2K15 actually being ported to PC. You can see in the minimum PC specs that 2K Games’ build of WWE 2K15 is scalable, so much so that it could even be ported to 6th gen consoles. It may not matter for sales, but for the sake of not leaving fans out, 2K Games may choose to bring WWE 2K16 to PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and maybe even tablets.
We covered the remaining rumors in this video before regarding the stamina system, but you can watch and get all the details from the video above.
