Halo: The Master Chief Collection will soon by getting yet another patch, with developer 343 Industries reporting they're at the final stages of testing on the update.
Stability, matchmaking, and the invite and party systems will all be improved with the update. 343 says they're being extra diligent to ensure stability and playability.
“As we announced previously, this content update includes fundamental changes to the aforementioned systems, and making and validating these changes requires substantial time beyond what was required for prior updates,” the developer commented on Halo Waypoint.
“We’re happy with the progress on the next CU, with significant progress being made on big and small issues, and we’re being diligent in gameplay and stress testing to ensure that it is a meaningful update.”
While a release date has yet to be determined, the patch's next status update will included an availability timeframe. The developer is also working to resolve an issue which resulted in Halo 3 SWAT and Team Snipers variants being unavailable for the last featured playlist.
343 is also continuing to “hammer away” at Relic for Halo 2: Anniversary, concept art for which you can see at the top of this post.
